Leprechauns at the Amusement Park
By Beth Beutler

Marvin and Mabel were so excited. They were leprechauns. Soon they would be going to the Greenville Amusement Park. They did this every March on Saint Patrick's Day. They rented the entire park and joined hundreds of other leprechauns for a day of fun.

Marvin and Mabel shared many of the same interests, including going to amusement parks. They had attended the Saint Patrick's Day celebration in Greenville together almost every year for ten years.

Marvin and Mabel sat down a week before the celebration to plan their day. They enjoyed most of the rides, so they always planned ahead to make sure they could ride as many rides as possible, some more than once.

"I think we should start with the Screaming Green Machine," Marvin suggested. "It's a new ride this year."

"Ummm, I think that looks kind of dangerous," Mabel replied.

"So? Are you scared?" Marvin asked.

Mabel did not want to admit her fear, but she answered honestly. "A little."

"Ahh, Mabel. You've always gone on these rides before!" Marvin countered.

"Yes, but this one looks even scarier than the Whip, and that one really bothered me."
