Librarians
By Phyllis Naegeli

Jack is on a quest. He walks through a door. All around him are books, books, and more books. He needs one of them. How will he find the one he needs?

Jack gets an idea. He needs a guide. Ah ha! The librarian will help him. To the desk he goes. He can barely see over the top. But, there he is - the town librarian. He looks at Jack over his glasses. A wide smile crosses his face. Jack smiles back.

     "Hello," says the librarian.

     "Hi!" says Jack.

     "Do you need help?"

"Yes. I need to find a book."

     "Do you know which one?"

Jack tells the librarian the title.
