Jake and Jackie Learn to Understand Others, Part 1
By Beth Beutler

Jackie's Aunt Bethany was visiting for the week. She lived in Chicago, but she traveled a good bit. She was a speaker for a company that sponsored seminars, and this week, she happened to be speaking for two days in the same town where Jackie lived.

Jackie loved when Aunt Bethany visited. She always had interesting things to tell about her travels and the courses she was teaching.

This morning, Aunt Bethany was already at the kitchen table with her notes spread out when Jackie came down the hall.

"What are you teaching about this time?" Jackie asked, pouring herself a glass of orange juice.

"I'm doing a seminar called "DeLIGHTful Personalities in Your Organization," Aunt Bethany replied.

"Is that why you have a flashlight, candle, light bulb, and party light out?"

"It sure is. Those are visuals for each of the four personality types."

Jackie looked quizzically at Aunt Bethany. "I'm not sure I understand."

Just then, Aunt Bethany and Jackie heard a knock at the back door. "Must be Jake," Jackie said. She peeked out the window, and sure enough, Jake was on the porch.
