Getting Through a Job Evaluation
By Patti Hutchison

1     Lynn has been working at her job for a month now. She is a teacher's aide. She loves her job helping children learn to read. But today she is nervous. She is being evaluated.

2     After you have worked at your job for a month or so, your boss may give you an evaluation. This is a rating of how well you are doing. The principal of Lynn's school is going to watch her working today.

3     The teacher Lynn works with tells her not to be nervous. She thinks Lynn has been doing a good job. She has always done everything that is expected of her. She even asks for other things to do when she has extra time. The teacher tells Lynn to just be herself and she'll do fine.
