¹     Jody rushed through the front door after school. "Mom! Mom!" she called.
 
²     "I'm in the office," Mom called back.
 
³     Jody ran breathlessly into the office and plopped down in the chair facing Mom's desk.
 
⁴     Mom leaned forward and rested her arms on the desk. "My goodness! This must be really important."
 
⁵     Jody sat up in the chair and took a deep breath. "It is! I've decided I want to be in the Olympics."
 
⁶     Mom leaned back in her chair. "You do?"
 
⁷     Jody jumped up from her chair and handed a piece of paper to Mom. "Yes, I do. Here's a list of the sports. I just need to decide which one I'll be best at."
 
⁸     Mom took the paper and began to look over the list. "Hmm. There are quite a few options here. Which one interests you the most?"
 
⁹     "I like all of them."
 
¹⁰     Mom smiled. "I think you need to narrow it down a bit. Do you know anything about these sports?"
 
¹¹     "I know about a few of them. We started talking about them in social studies today."
