Too Little, Too Small
By Kathleen W. Redman

Traci watched the apples fall from the trees. One, two, three, four, five, six. Six apples fell from the tree next to her.

Traci's grandfather and father were working very hard together. They were trying to pick the apples before they all fell on the ground.

Traci wanted to help. She was very little, though. She was only four years old.

"Papa Wilson, can I help you?" she asked.

"No, child," her grandfather said. "You are too little to get on a ladder. You might fall."
