¿Me Prestas una Estampilla?

1     Mi abuelita y mi abuelito se fueron de vacaciones. Ellos dijeron que me enviarían una tarjeta postal. Corrí al buzón del correo. Lo abrí. Adentro estaba una tarjeta postal. Tardó unos pocos días en llegarme.
 
2     Hoy, el servicio de correo nos ayuda a enviar objetos a todo el mundo. Tarda unos pocos días. Algunas cosas pueden enviarse por la noche. A principios de los años 1600s, no había una oficina de correos. No había un cartero. Los mensajes se enviaban a través de amigos. Los encargados de las tiendas pasaban los mensajes. Los nativos americanos llevaban mensajes.
 
3     En los tiempos coloniales, la mayoría de los mensajes necesitaban ir a Inglaterra. De ahí era la mayor parte de la gente. El 5 de noviembre de 1639, se estableció la primera oficina de correos colonial. Fue en Boston, Massachussets. Fue en un restaurante. Otros pueblos utilizaban cafeterias.
