Sending Fear Downhill

1     There it was. The huge hill. Every winter this hill was covered with snow and only the bravest kids took their toboggans down it. It wasn't all that dangerous. Although they called it "Deadly Mountain," and some people thought the kids were foolish to slide down it, it was really just the highest hill in town.

2     Every time the calendar showed January, Amy knew it would be time to think about going down that hill. In the winters she often preferred to stay inside wrapped in a cozy quilt. She was even learning how to stitch a quilt, and enjoyed spending time on that craft. However, she was still tempted to take her sled down that hill.
