What it Means to Be a Prince
By Beth Beutler

Prince Junkop looked around in dismay. His chamber was in complete shambles. Junkop always kept his chambers spotless. He had a place for everything, and whenever he was not using something, it sat neatly waiting to be pulled off the shelf.

"This is an outrage! Who could have done this?!" he exclaimed as if trying to solve a riddle. He called the second-in-command. "Dresden, summon my servants!"

Prince Junkop's servants soon arrived and shivered in front of him.

"What is the meaning of this!?" Junkop shouted in an unkind tone. "I insist that my chambers are to be kept neater than this!"

The servants looked around and saw the cause of Junkop's outrage. Someone, or something, had come into his room and used all his toys and equipment. Nineteen die cast chariots were thrown around the room. It also looked as if there had been a big feast in there. Bits of tomatoes and lettuce were pressed into the carpet.

One servant was bold enough to step forward. "Sir, we have no idea what happened here. We are concerned about the mess. We will clean it up in as quickly as possible."

"Of course you will!" Prince Junkop shouted. "Begin!"

Prince Junkop stomped away, muttering to himself. He believed his servants had used his room and were lying. "They will feel the impact of my anger. When they are done with my room, they will have to clean the whole castle!"
