Dream of a Wedding
By Beth Beutler

1     Charity laid her head back on her fluffy pillow. She pulled up the plush, yellow comforter to her neck and settled in for the night. She was tired. Being a fifth grader was hard work! It had been a busy week at school and with after-school activities, she was feeling sluggish. Tomorrow was Saturday, and she was thankful she could sleep later! She was certain she needed it.

2     It wasn't long before Charity was sound asleep. Her mind began to drift into another world...

3     "Dum, dum da dum, dum, dum da um," Charity heard as she peered down the church aisle. Her dad was beside her, holding her hand. She looked the length and breadth of the auditorium. Two hundred of her family and friends were here to see her on her special day. She couldn't believe the day had actually arrived. It seemed like just yesterday that her handsome groom had proposed.
