Name _____________________________
Date _______________

This week, from Sunday until Thursday, the school drama team sold adult and student tickets to their play. The person in charge of selling the tickets kept a record of the number of adult and student tickets sold on each day. However, she forgot which day the tickets were actually sold. She knows how many adult tickets were sold (twenty-seven, twenty-four, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, and five tickets) and how many student tickets were sold (forty-two, forty-five, twenty-four, eighteen, and forty-eight).

Figure out how many student and adult tickets were sold on each day.

1.    The student seats sold on Wednesday must be split up into groups that are all the same size.

If the minimum group size is three people and the maximum group size is eight people, then based on the number of tickets sold on Wednesday only four different group sizes were used.

2.    A prime number of adult seats was sold on Sunday.

3.    On the day that twenty-four adult tickets were sold, the sum of the student and adult tickets sold is divisible by seven.

4.    The least common multiple of the number of adult seats sold on Monday and Sunday is one hundred forty-five.

5.    On the day that twenty-nine adult tickets were sold, the sum of the student and adult tickets sold is a multiple of seven.

6.    A prime number of adult seats was sold on Monday.

7.    An odd number of adult tickets and an odd number of student tickets were sold on Sunday.

8.    An even number of adult tickets and an even number of student tickets were sold on Tuesday.

9.    The least common multiple of the number of adult seats sold on Wednesday and Tuesday is one hundred sixty-eight.

10.    The greatest common factor of the number of student seats sold on Thursday and Wednesday is six.
